The Okuma LB 300 M lathe is a high-performance machine tool designed for precision machining of various materials. With a C axis that can rotate 360° in increments of 0.001 degrees, this lathe can produce complex parts with high accuracy and repeatability.

The maximum turning diameter of the LB 300 M is 340 mm, while the maximum turning length is 480 mm, making it suitable for a wide range of machining applications. The center distance between the headstock and tailstock is 500 mm, providing ample space for machining longer parts.

The X-axis rapid traverse rate of 20,000 mm/min and the Z-axis rapid traverse rate of 25,000 mm/min ensure fast and efficient material removal. The C axis can rotate at a maximum speed of 200 rpm, allowing for precise indexing and positioning of the workpiece.

The lathe is equipped with an ASA 8 spindle, which can operate at speeds ranging from 45 to 3800 rpm, providing flexibility to handle a wide range of materials. The spindle has a maximum power output of 22 kW and a bar passage diameter of 65 mm, enabling the lathe to handle larger workpieces.

The ideal solution

The LB 300 M features a VDI 40 turret with 12 NCM V-type stations, each capable of holding square tools up to 25 mm and boring bars up to 40 mm in diameter. The turret is driven by an AC motor, providing smooth and precise indexing. In addition, the lathe has a self-centering Kitagawa B208 chuck, capable of securely holding workpieces of varying shapes and sizes.

The lathe is equipped with both radial and axial driven tools, which can operate at speeds ranging from 45 to 4500 rpm with a power output of 3.3 kW. The lathe also features a tailstock with a sleeve diameter of 90 mm and a quill stroke of 120 mm, allowing for precise drilling and reaming operations.
